The Tuck and Run Youth Network
There is an epidemic happening for young people in the Las Vegas Valley. Nevada ranks #1 in the nation when it comes to the number of unsheltered, unaccompanied youth that reside here, and locally, there are over 15,000 students identified as homeless within the CCSD systems. Families are struggling to provide basic necessities, much less complete support systems for youth in our community, and they are paying a dire price for it. The Tuck and Run Youth Network is our response.
With the Tuck and Run Youth Network Mobile Application, our goal is to harness technology to:​

Create a trust based network for ALL youth in the Las Vegas valley. We want to build an app in a way that is inclusive of all the diverse groups of young people that are a part of our community.
Establish a hub that connects youth, existing service providers, and the community that cares about them.
Identify gaps in existing services and facilitate community conversations as well as collaborations to fill them.
Transform the way service providers connect and interact with youth by building tools that will increase service efficiency and quality of communications.
To research, record, and report the effectiveness of the mobile application in youth outreach and service delivery, and establish the application as an evidence based tool in increasing youth engagement rates across our community

The Future
Here at the Tuck and Run Foundation, we have ambitious goals and plans to make a difference for youth in the community through the mobile app. Our short term goals include our youth driven video tours, mental health, and life skills videos as well as setting up an IRB approved research study on the effectiveness of this mobile application on youth outreach and engagement rates with local support services.
